ABOUT US

Barbara Luther, MA
Master Certified Coach
Specializing in ADHD
St. Louis, MO

Barbara began her coaching business, Wind Beneath Your Wings, in 1996, specializing in coaching clients impacted by ADHD.  Barbara specializes in coaching high achievers with ADHD traits who want to take even more of their creative endeavors to completion.

She received her coach training at CoachU and Corporate CoachU and her ADHD coach training at the Optimal Functioning Institute.  She has earned the designations Professional Mentor Coach, Certified Teleclass Leader, and Advanced Certified Corporate Business Coach through CoachInc., and she has been a Master Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF) since 1999.

Barbara is Director of Training at the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA) and co-author of the 1,200+ pages of the ADDCA training curriculum.  She has overseen the successful ICF accreditation of ADDCA’s comprehensive training program, the only comprehensive ADHD coach training program with such a designation.

She speaks regularly at ADHD and coaching conferences and for various professional groups.  In 2008, Barbara spoke on “Leveraging Sweet Wisdom:  Helping Clients Learn About Their ADHD via Comic Strips” and was a co-presenter on “The Ladder to Success:  Leveraging an ADHD-Trained Virtual Assistant to Support Your Coaching Business” at the ADHD Coaches Association (ACO).  In 2011, Barbara has spoken on “Embracing Our Neurodiverse Minds as a Challenge to the Negative Perceptions and Prejudices Surrounding the ADHD Label” and “Success Strategies for the Creative Inattentives” at the ADHD Coaches Association and the ADD Coach Academy conferences.

Finally, Barbara is passionate about helping persons affected by ADHD to get the knowledgeable help they want and need, and she is painfully aware of how difficult it is to determine who is a qualified ADHD coach.  This is why she’s taken a leadership role in forming the Professional Association of AHDH Coaches (PAAC) and is committed to helping identify and certify demonstrably competent ADHD coaches.  She is also passionate about helping other service processionals such as virtual assistants to become ADHD-aware, appreciative, and usefully supportive.  And she continues to speak and develop training programs specifically to meet this need.
